The Cauchas fibulella is a small moth of the Adelidae family with a wingspan of 08-11 mm. It is known in most of Europe, even if it is absent from Portugal, from Ireland from Belarus and from most of the Balkan Peninsula, in Italy it is absent from the islands *

The wings are red-brown with a metallic glow. There is a yellow band and a yellow spot located on the front, the edge is fringed. The hind wings are gray - brown with metallic reflex along the edge which is strongly fringed.

Adults are in flight from May to June. The larvae begin to feed on the seeds of the host plant. Next, they build a portable cocoon with plant fragments and begin to feed on the leaves near the ground.

The larvae feed on Veronica chamaedrys and Veronica officinalis.
