The Pyroderces klimeschi is a small moth of the Cosmopterigidae family, with a wingspan of 15-17 mm.
it can be found in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, and Romania. *
In Italy it is absent from the islands. *

The wing is very narrow and elongated with a "cutting" tip slightly curved downwards. The background color of the front wings is a bright reddish brown, barely visible due to chestnut brown interference. The front wings are crossed in the anal area by an ocher-white line. On the inside edge of the wing is a white line extending from the base of the wing to the tip of the wing. The hind wings are a brilliant ash gray darker towards the apex.

The head is yellowish white like the thorax, and it is precisely the coloring of the head to be a distinctive character of this species. The dorsal area has two large light brown areas that are slightly narrower in the middle. There is a back whitish spot. The abdomen is ocher gray in the first segments, the last two segments are yellowish-white.

The Pyroderces klimeschi is a fairly rare species and little is known about its biology. Adults are visible in the months of May and June.

The host plant is not known, and at the moment I have no information on the stages of larva and pupa.
