The Eudonia angustea also called Narrow-winged Grey is a moth of the Crambidae family, subfamily Scopariinae, with a wingspan of 22-34 mm.
In Europe it is not very widespread in fact we find it in Portugal, Spain, Ireland, United Kingdom, France, Croatia and Greece. In Italy it is also present in the Islands. *

Recognizable compared to other species of the Scopariinae subfamily as it keeps its wings tighter to the body.
It has a cream background color with intense dusting of ocher, brown and gray, two brown lines cross the discal and postdical regions respectively, the first with a regular curvilinear course, the second with a trend almost parallel to the margin, has a sort of tip that develops in the median area towards the discal region.
A more or less defined brown spot is present in the postdical region between the radial and median areas. The edge of the wing has a series of dark spots. The hind wings are greyish, translucent, with brown shades.

Mainly it frequents coastal areas, but it can also be found in the hinterland, it frequents heaths, woods and swamps. In the Butterfly Conservation 2011 report on Microlepidoptera, the species was classified as common. It flies quite late in the year, normally from mid-May to late October, but it is not difficult to meet it throughout the year.

The larvae feed on mosses on walls or dunes.
