Family Lepidoptera, sole representative of the superfamily Pterophoroidea. The representatives of this family are characterized by thin wings, each divided into feathery blades and the last couple of very long legs. The habitual posture is at rest with wings extended laterally and tightly rolled up. Often similar to a piece of dry grass, so that the moth may pass unnoticed to potential predators even when resting in situations exposed to the light of day.
