Moth of recently the classification Blastobasis huemeri is a moth of the family Blastobasidae with a wingspan 12 - 14 mm.
It is located in Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia and Croatia. It is an undescribed species for wildlife of Microlepidoptera.
E 'can be confused with Blastobasis physidella (Zeller, 1839), which presents a "habit" very different, both for its color as her drawings.
The habitats where it was found are different from meadows, uncultivated wetlands of forest environments, locally, even in areas with benches made of sandstone
and where there are limestone outcrops, although there is prevalenetemente in sandy environments.
According to current knowledge, the distribution of B. huemeri stretches south or south-eastern Europe. It is observed regularly in Austria, Italy, Croatia,
Hungary, Czech Republic and in 2007 in Germany in the sandy area near Mannheim north of Baden.
The comments argue documented the period of flight time as follows: Austria, from May 30 to June 9, 1993 (Habeler, 1993), and August 20, 2004 and
August 8, 2005 (BUCHNER, 2005), Italy, July 9, 1997 (Parenti, 2000); Baden in Germany on 3 and 19 June 2007 (Hausenblas, 2007a). No other information on the biology.
